About Hadley Mitchell

My View of Therapy

I view therapy as a collaborative and goal oriented process where clients bring expertise of their life and I bring counselling knowledge and experience to help people make meaningful changes and get to a better place.

As a goal-oriented therapist, I work closely with clients to establish therapy goals and track our progress towards achieving them. I love helping clients gain new understnading and perspective about themselves, their relationships, and how they see the world.

Clients have told me that I have a compassionate, supportive and non-judgemental approach, while also being direct at times, which helps them work through the issues that matter most.

It is important to me that clients leave sessions with more hope, direction and tangible next steps.

A Personal Note

I grew up in Edmonton and moved to Calgary ten years ago. Psychology and knowing the full human experience (our joys, hopes, dreams, sorrows, insecurities, fears, etc) has always been part of my life’s purpose.

When I’m not working, I can be found enjoying music and outdoor activities; campfires, hiking, biking, skiing and snowmobiling. As a nature enthusiast, I really love both gardening and tending to our many house plants. Nature has given me much perspective and clarity on my life. I love to work with clients outdoors through mindfulness, insightful metaphors and noticing deeper connections.

Above all else, I value relationships and quality time with family, friends, my partner, our daughter (Levi), and dogs (Luna & Ripley).
