About Tiffany Smith
My View of Therapy
I view the journey of therapy as one that can be needed for a season, a reason or a lifetime. Each person brings their own strengths into the process and I love being invited to walk along side my clients. My hope is that each client leaves their session with a direction and practice for between sessions.
It has been my experience that the therapeutic relationship offers a chance for healing and gaining better understanding of ourselves. Therefore it is always my first goal to create an environment for you to safely explore your authentic self.

From this base, I integrate the following modalities:
- Emotion Focused Individual and Couples Therapy
- Gottman Couples Therapy
- Mindfulness Based Practice
- Narrative Therapy
- Solution Focused Therapy
A Personal Note
I have volunteered and worked within the mental health realm for many years. Despite always having a strong interest in psychology, I chose a career path in sales and marketing. After many successful years in this area, I decided to complete a Masters Degree and begin my journey to register as a psychologist. My windy road to this space allows me to greater understand the various paths my clients walk. I am grateful for the life experience I bring into my office as it often helps create clarity and perspective for myself and my clients.
When I’m not hunkered down with a book (continuing my learning or just for enjoyment) you can often find me trying the newest restaurants in Calgary. I love the way food brings us together and enjoy sharing this experience with friends and family. Travel plans are always a topic of discussion as embracing the cultures of the world is a passion of mine.
